Traditional music for Ceilidhs and Performance

Chorley Cakes Ceilidh Band

Liven up your next event with our organised folk merriment!

Chorley Cakes Folk are a community band. We play for ceilidhs, barn dances, concerts and illustrated talks. Our music comes from many centuries and countries, but draws predominantly from the British Isles.

Chorley Cakes Folk have provided ceilidh band and callers for ceilidh dances at a number of locations in Lancashire, Cheshire and further afield. We have also performed a selection of folk and traditional music at markets, festivals and residential homes in the North West. We are available for hire to perform at weddings, parties, fundraisers etc – either as a ceilidh band or to play folk and traditional music for entertainment purposes.

Chorley Cakes Folk run a regular Ceilidh Club with callers on the final Thursday of each month from September through to April. The venue is St Mary's Community Centre, Leyland, Lancashire and the event runs from 7.30 to 10.30pm. If you would like to receive occasional emails about Ceilidh Club and other Chorley Cakes Folk events, please subscribe to our mailing list for free or send us an email with your email address, name and surname to info@chorleycakesfolk.co.uk and we'll add you to the list ourselves. In either case you should receive a welcome email. Please check your junk mail folder if it doesn't arrive as expected. We will only use your data to keep you informed of our activities - please check our privacy notice for more details.

In addition to dancing, Ceilidh Club usually includes floor spots from singers and dance teams - eg Galliard Folk Dancers. See the flyer below or contact us for more details.
