Chorley Cakes Folk are available to play for concert performances.
In the past we have entertained at nursing homes, Chorley Live, folk festivals, gardens and parks, and within public buildings such as libraries and schools. We can sometimes be found entertaining shoppers at Chorley Market on a Saturday.
We enjoy organising events in conjunction with other local music and dance groups and charities, such as the Bank Street Writers, The Midnight Choir, Music for All, Bolton Ladies Circle Dance Group, Oxton Secret Gardens, the Cider Apple Growing charity and Chorley Silver Band and we have also helped raise funds for Scouts. Amongst our performance repertoire is a Lancashire set, Great War set, and a mummers' play.
Chorley Cakes Folk always aim to provide a lively, informative and entertaining event, and would produce a playlist tailored to an event or theme, incorporating song and dance or factual historical folk tradition within it if wished - we would discuss this well in advance and aim to tailor the event to your requirements.
